IASP continues to be committed to the well-being of our educators and students, and we recognize the tremendous effort all individuals undertook this past spring as virtual learning was implemented and sustained through the end of the school year. Clearly we remain faced with challenges brought on by the COVID-19 virus, and by the racial injustices and educational inequities we see in our state. Meeting those challenges will take a similar and greater effort, and we believe that our mission statement guides us to lead in the areas of advocacy, leadership development, and member support, and to integrate within each a focus on racial injustice and educational inequities.
Given all of this, IASP intends to offer in-person our outstanding array of programs and services this fall, even as schools consider how to welcome back students. Be assured that all of us at IASP will take a proactive approach to ensure our programs are successful, and if we are forced to proceed virtually as we did this last spring, you and your students will still enjoy a great experience. We have all learned much in the last 4 months and we intend to put this knowledge to best use so that you place even greater value on your IASP Membership, and on your Department of Student Programs membership.
