M.A.T.H. Bowl
Elementary M.A.T.H. Bowl
The competition will be made up of four rounds with a maximum of five different team members competing in each round. Each round shall consist of eight multiple-choice questions, varying in difficulty. The competition will be based on The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics publication Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School Mathematics. This includes thirteen curriculum standards. Any student enrolled in grades 4-6 is eligible to compete on that school’s team. Schools may select their teams in any manner and with any additional criteria they choose.

Hosting Invitationals
M.A.T.H. Bowl Invitationals are local competitions that schools host as a way to practice for the Area competition. Invitationals are NOT a requirement. If you are interested in hosting an invitational, download the question order form.
Academic Coach
of the Year
Anyone who serves as an academic coach during the school year is eligible for this award, and can be nominated by their principal, another coach, coordinator or volunteer. One academic coach from each level of competition (elementary, middle/junior and senior) is recognized as the Indiana Academic Coach of the Year.
Join DSP
In order to participate in Department of Student Programs (DSP) sponsored academic competitions, cheer competitions, Martin Luther King Jr. Essay contest, and any other DSP programs, schools must maintain a current membership in DSP.
