Cowan Community Schools

Cowan Community Schools is a small, rural school district located in Muncie in the southern portion of Delaware County. The corporation is comprised of two (2) schools. Cowan Elementary School is a K-6 building with just over 430 students with 3 classrooms at all grade levels. Cowan Elementary is a Professional Development School (PDS) in partnership with Ball State University. Cowan Jr./Sr. High School serves grades 7-12 with approximately 370 students. In addition to strong academics, the Jr./Sr. High School has a rich history of extra-curricular activities and sports. The Cowan Blackhawks were the 2019 Single A Indiana State Champions in volleyball!
