The 2021 Future Problem Solving Affiliate Bowl Results

Teams made up of students from the 4th through the 12th grades met virtually earlier this month to compete in the Indiana Future Problem Solving Affiliate Bowl. Indiana had competitors in two components of Future Problem Solving this year: Global Issues Problem Solving (GIPS) and Scenario Writing. Our State Champion GIPS schools: Burris Laboratory School, and two Madison Junior High teams as well as Zionsville Community High School will advance to the International Competition. In the Scenario Writing category, Burris Laboratory School students Ella Neely, Jessica Littleford, and Georgia Berg have all received invitations to write an original scenario at the International Competition in June. State Third Place: Springs Valley Elementary School #3

Junior Division
State Champion: Madison Junior High School
State Runner-up: LaPorte Middle School

Senior Division
State Champion: Burris Laboratory School
State Runner-up: Zionsville Community High School
State Third Place: Elkhart High School #1

State Runner-up: Eleanor Blackmer, Burris Laboratory School
State Third Place: Benjamin Kaminsky, Hal. E. Clark Middle School

Senior Division
State Champion: Ella Neely, Burris Laboratory School
State Runner-up: Jessica Littleford, Burris Laboratory School

International Scenario Writing Competition:
The scenarios written for the state competition were also submitted to the International Scenario Writing Competition. Ella Neely of the Burris Laboratory School in Muncie placed 7th in this International Writing Competition in the Senior Division! Congratulations to Ella!
