Service-learning has multiple benefits for students, schools, and communities. Among those proven benefits are an improved school climate, improved student attendance, and improved community relations as members see young people as assets. Given that service-learning is so beneficial to all parties, it is great news that it can be incorporated into ALL areas of curriculum. In fact, it is the connection to content that makes a service project a Service-Learning project!

Service-learning is for ALL content areas, ALL grade levels, and ALL students. Building skills and applying content knowledge to real-world service-learning projects creates leaders of tomorrow with a heart for others. They truly become “One for ALL, and ALL for One!”
