Special State Achievement Recognition – 2021-22

Continuing with recent tradition, the IASP Department of Student Programs is recognizing schools who finished in the Top 10 of their enrollment class in ALL THREE elementary division academic contests offered by IASP (Academic Spell Bowl, Science Bowl, and M.A.T.H. Bowl) or qualified for the State Finals competition in ALL THREE Senior Division academic contests offered by IASP (Academic Spell Bowl, Academic Quiz Bowl, and Academic Super Bowl) during the 2021-22 school year.

Of the 517 schools who participate in at least one Indiana Academic Competition in the Elementary Division, only 75 were able to field a team in all three programs, and of those, only five are receiving this Award of Excellence:

Brooks School Elementary, Fishers
College Wood Elementary
, Carmel
Fall Creek Intermediate, Fishers
Riverside Intermediate, Fishers
Thorpe Creek Elementary, Fishers

Of the 273 schools who participate in at least one Indiana Academic Competition in the Senior Division, only 21 were able to field a team in all three programs. Of those teams, three are receiving this Award of Excellence:

Andrean High School, Merrillville – Triple State Finalist
Crown Point High School
, Crown Point – Triple State Finalist
Valparaiso High School, Valparaiso – Triple State Finalist

In addition, 6 students were members of all 3 State Finalist teams at the high school level, earning Individual Triple State Finalist recognition. Congratulations to John Clements, Peter Clements and Chris Marlow (Andrean HS); Daniel Sibincic (Crown Point HS); and Carissa Yu and Anthony Grisolano (Valparaiso HS) on their accomplishment!

We believe these accomplishments are a sign of dedicated students and staff members who genuinely recognize the value of these programs. Congratulations to these teams, coaches, and students on this great achievement!
